A very sophisticated folksy style. These earrings feature enameled (powdered glass) arches in black and white. The arches are hand-cut copper. They are dusted with white enamel and torch fired. Another layer consisting of black water color enamel is then brushed on. Once the water color has sufficiently dried, the real fun begins. Using traditional sgraffito tools, a design is drawn into the paint then fired again to a "sugar coat" finish. The backside of the circles has a counter enamel in cobalt blue. These earrings are very light weight. PLEASE NOTE: The glass finish has a "sugar coat" finish. It is textured; not smooth.
